Taste of Wethersfield returns

It's back!  The 12th annual Taste of Wethersfield for the benefit of Wethersfield Historical Society returns on April 8 at 7 p.m. at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center.  Advance general admission $35, Patrons $55.

Girl Scout Week in Connecticut

Girl Scout Week is March 12-18. The week begins with Girl Scout Sunday and our 105th Anniversary on March 12, and ends with Girl Scout Sabbath on March 18. For more than 105 years, thousands of dedicated volunteers and Girl Scouts throughout Connecticut make a difference every day in their communities. All girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to participate in Girl Scouts, explore their faith, and attend our summer camp programs. Katherine Hepburn From Hartford to Hollywood

Wethersfield Historical Society and Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation invite you to a special presentation-Katharine Hepburn: From Hartford to Hollywood-a lecture and slideshow with Natalie Belanger from Connecticut Historical Society on Thursday, March 9 at 7:00 pm at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, Wethersfield.  Free for Wethersfield Historical Society and Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation members, $5 non-members.  Tickets will be sold at the door.

Old Saybrook Annual Chili Fest

Head to Main Street Old Saybrook for this annual winter tradition in which chefs compete for "best chili" and you, the voting public, get to taste their outstanding recipes and vote for your favorite! From "Chili-Chili-Bang-Bang" to "Sargent Peppers" you'll find a variety of flavors sure to please. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at ballot stations along Main Street. A minimum of 10 chili dishes must be sampled for a ballot to be considered valid.

The top three vote getters are awarded first, second, and third place, receive a donation to the charity of their choice, and earn bragging rights for the year!

Westport Winter Farmers Market

The Westport Winter Farmers Market will be wrapping up soon. You still have time to visit. 

March 4  they will host their final cooking competition for the season. The challenge is to use four ingredients sourced from WFM.  Up for the challenge? 

March 11 is our end of the season party. Food trucks, music, local beers and more.
