Things That Go Bump In the Night

For six nights in the month of October the Nathan Hale house will be open for candlelight tours.  Guest will be escorted room to room and even into the attic. Ghost stories will be shared by the staff. Reservations are required.

Hartford Arts and Monuments Walk

October 6, 2019-11:30 am- 1pm

Take an easy walk through the streets of Hartford to view some of the many scultures and monuments. Some of the places included are:

  • Butler-McCook House
  • City Hall
  • Wadsworth Athenaeum
  • State Capitol
  • Bushnell Park

Flea Market shoppers looking for bargains and treasures might have that opportunity at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum’s Old-Fashioned Flea Market where more than 70 vendors will be offering a variety of items including antiques, repurposed furniture, collectibles, jewelry, specialty foods, crafts, household items, clothing, and toys. The museum will be open for $5 mini-tours and feature a White Elephant table where visitors can shop for rare finds. Trendy food trucks will serve edibles to satisfy all palates, while a classic and antique car show will entertain shoppers of all ages.
